We Need You Here, uptempo Just One Night of geestige Crazy In The Shed.

British Lion @ Fabrique – Sao Paulo/SP (05/12/2024)

In our interview, the musician invited us to go to the show with an open mind. We were open-minded and wet due to the downpour that fell minutes before opening the venue. Most of those present had wet souls and open minds, and upon entering the stage, he played the title track “Awake”, which was almost 10 minutes long.

It is worth remembering that this album Awake is an original solo show based on a concept album that was written and recorded in 2021 by the singer and released on all digital media only now on October 11, 2024. There have been more than 60 performances of the live… Read full article here!

British Lion – Paraoa Brewing CO,15th September 2024: Review by Mike Beck, Photographs by Leonie Moreland

Moore’s music gave personal touches too, with imagery and soundbites of his youth, parents, and past experiences. Because if it all seems fake, then we’re awake echoed the experiences of Moore himself and everyone else, whilst putting his show and concept together in 2020/21. With a Wembley stadium attitude Moore quipped, I know you didn’t come here to see a one–man band prog/rock with some philosophy in the middle.

LIVE: BRITISH LION with Tony Moore – Perth, 31 August 2024 Reviewed by Shane Pinnegar, Photographs by Linda Dunjey

Moore explains that his 2021 solo album Awake – written with the assistance of a lot of lockdown phone calls with Harris – touches on the pandemic’s anxieties and difficulties as well as his mother’s descent into dementia at the time. It’s a deeply personal work of art, performed solo in front of extensive backing tapes – and I use the…

LIVE REVIEW: British Lion – Live at Magnet House, Perth Australia 31st August 2024 with Tony Moore performing ‘AWAKE’. By Mark Diggins

The night is kicked off wonderfully by the one man Prog Rock enigma that is Tony Moore, performing an abbreviated version of his ‘Awake’ work. Tony of course is part of the Maiden history, playing with the band briefly in 1977 before heading off on his own music adventure. He is both incredibly engaging and contagiously enthusiastic, as well as being a bit of a ‘shed-based’ genius! (see the show or check out his social media if you want to know). Alternating between guitar and keyboards he performs a set that is full of stunning self-created visuals, wonderful solos and powerful songs that range from the Floydesque to the pure Pop of ‘Crazy in the Shed’…

Live Review: British Lion – London By Jacob Schwar

Tonight’s performance was a special pleasure for not only was it sold-out but the venue was no other than the famous, or should I say infamous, Cart and Horses pub in the east end of London. The pub itself has a strong and personal history for Steve Harris, especially as it’s the one venue where Iron Maiden really got established… Read full review here!

Live review: British Lion at Blackbox, Hastings 23/1/24 By Darren Johnson

Blackbox is a great small venue but it can sometimes take quite a while to fill up. Not tonight though, as the place is completely packed-out as I walk in and the support act has already just taken the stage. Multi-instrumentalist and singer-song-writer, Tony Moore, was very briefly in an early line-up of the fledgling Iron Maiden but remained friends with Steve Harris over the years which landed him the support slot. He tells the crowd that as a kid he got to see Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and Ziggy Stardust. Read full review here!

British Lion/Tony Moore’s ‘Awake’ – The Liquid Rooms Edinburgh 10th January 2023 By Iain McArthur Photocredit MB Photography Scotland

Fair play to Sir Steve Harris. It’s a cold and damp January night in Scotland and he could be back home in The Bahamas in his speedos with his butler, but instead he’s out there with his left foot on the monitor, as usual, still wearing shorts to show off his footballer’s calves, and giving every bit as much commitment as he would if he was playing at Rock in Rio with his other band. Former Iron Maiden man Tony Moore announces UK tour dates By Jerry Erwing

One-time Iron Maiden and Cutting Crew keyboard player Tony Moore will tour his recent Awake album in January

Former Iron Maiden and Cutting Crew keyboard player Tony Moore has announced UK tour dates for January.

Moore, who played keyboards with the UK metal legends in 1977 (the only band member outside of Steve Harris and Adrian Smith to play keyboards in Iron Maiden), and later played as a touring musician with Cutting Crew between 1986 and 1988, has musically reverted to his first love of progressive rock and will be touring his most recent album, the prog-leaning Awake, which he released last year.
